CMS VATAVARAN Panorama of Feature Films on Environment is a new feature within the festival 2009. The idea of showcasing commercial feature films from Hollywood and Bollywood starring popular stars is a unique and landmark achievement in CMS’s decade-long and ongoing endeavour to raise environmental awareness. Remarkable films on environment have constantly been showcased in CMS VATAVARAN festivals. But it is for the first time that CMS will reach out to the people with Hollybood and Bollywood as its vehicle. Mainstream stars have always held terrific sway over mass audiences and when they talk about environment, hopefully more people will listen. The effort, thus, with this star-studded film, is to initiate a wider dialogue among the masses on topical environmental issues.
