Animation is an intelligent tool to communicate complex and sophisticated social and environmental subjects and problems with ease. The workshop 'Animation for Conservation', will be conducted by Harold Raichur, Id Animation & Arts (Studio School), Pune, aims to inform participants of the wide variety of animation films and familiarise them with its making/methods. With practical approach, it will talk of the history and evolution of animation films, introduce the methodology and screen animated films to make understanding clear. Various hands on activities to create your own animations and story will be the special attraction of the workshop.

Harold Raichur is a visualiser and a creative personality with a knack for storytelling. His interests vary from philosophy to history, football to animation, books to comics, and teaching to trekking. A self-taught student of animation, and filmmaking in particular, he enjoys writing and directing original content like concepts for short films, games, short stories and comics. Harold will be joined by his colleague Nilabh and Sumit in conducting the workshop.

Harold co-founded Id Animation & Arts (Studio School) in 2008, seeking to provide total animation education, with emphasis on animation filmmaking, game design and content development. Id Animation is amongst the few institutions in India which offer specialised programmes in filmmaking and gaming. Its work has been selected at VATAVARAN Anifest, FICCI Frames and NASSCOM festivals in India.
