Animation is an intelligent
tool to communicate complex and sophisticated
social and environmental subjects and problems
with ease. The workshop 'Animation for Conservation',
will be conducted by Harold Raichur, Id Animation
& Arts (Studio School), Pune, aims to inform participants
of the wide variety of animation films and familiarise
them with its making/methods. With practical approach,
it will talk of the history and evolution of animation
films, introduce the methodology and screen animated
films to make understanding clear. Various hands
on activities to create your own animations and
story will be the special attraction of the workshop.
Harold Raichur is a visualiser
and a creative personality with a knack for storytelling.
His interests vary from philosophy to history,
football to animation, books to comics, and teaching
to trekking. A self-taught student of animation,
and filmmaking in particular, he enjoys writing
and directing original content like concepts for
short films, games, short stories and comics.
Harold will be joined by his colleague Nilabh
and Sumit in conducting the workshop.
Harold co-founded Id Animation & Arts (Studio
School) in 2008, seeking to provide total animation
education, with emphasis on animation filmmaking,
game design and content development. Id Animation
is amongst the few institutions in India which
offer specialised programmes in filmmaking and
gaming. Its work has been selected at VATAVARAN
Anifest, FICCI Frames and NASSCOM festivals in
India.
