The Shri Ram School

www.tsrs.org,

Founded in 1988, The Shri Ram School has quickly established a reputation for educational innovation and excellence. Rated as the Best Day School in India by Education World in 2008 and 2009, it offers a broad curriculum under the ICSE/ ISE Examination System, as well as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The Special Needs Department provides inclusive educational opportunities for children with special needs.

The rich co-curricular programme along with the Environment agenda of the school provides many opportunities outside the class room situation, which in turn leads to truly articulate, confident, well informed human beings capable of taking sustainable decisions. As an Eco - Lead school of the Delhi Government, TSRS launched its Environment Policy and Environment Education way back in 1994. It has spear-headed all environmental initiatives in Delhi and India and had a long lasting impact on issues of water, waste, energy and wildlife conservation. Its unique model of the Poacher Reform Programme around Ranthambhore National Park is showing very positive results and dramatically changing the lives of local tribal people. It’s the only school to have looked beyond itself and taken solar electrification of villages in a massive way in conjunction with TERI.

The school has worked with CMS VATAVARAN for some time and has hosted wildlife film festivals in Delhi and Gurgaon, recognizing the impact and value of documentary film in environmental education. We are looking forward to this parternership with CMS VATAVARAN, as this will only open many new vistas for holistic development of students.
