Miditech wins Vatavaran award

Miditech, one of the leading production houses has bagged the Special Jury Award for their documentary Leopards Of Bollywood at the Vatavaran Environment and Wildlife Festival held in Delhi recently. Commenting on the award, Niret Alva, Miditech, said, "The sheer list of award nominations that Miditech received, 24 in all in 2005, is a reflection of the quality of diverse programming, incredibly talented teams and passionate commitment to excellence."

Leopards Of Bollywood tells the frightening story of leopards that have struck terror in the suburbs of Mumbai, India's commercial and film hub, popularly known as Bollywood. There have been 63 attacks and 33 people have been killed by leopards in a three-year period. The film follows Prakash Thosre, a man driven by a mission, a wildlife advocate who is fighting the cause of leopards. He currently heads the department that has been responsible for minimising leopard menace in Junnar, Maharashtra in India. Directed by Animitra Chakravarti, the documentary is a racy thriller set against the backdrop of the Hindi film world.
