AMAR KANWAR

Amar Kanwar is an independent documentary filmmaker working from New Delhi, India, for last twelve years. His documentaries have been widely screened and broadcast.

His film 'King of Dream' was awarded the Juries award at Film South Asia 2001-Katmandu Documentary film festival. As earlier work - 'A Season Outside' was awarded the Golden Gate Award at the 1999, San Francisco, International Film Festival, the Golden Conch at the Mumbai International Film Festival and the Golden Orange at the 36th Antalya International Documentary Film Festival 1999. He is also a recipient of the Mac-Arthur Fellowship for 1998-2000 from the Mac-Arthur Foundation
