Summary: Film on destruction of mangroves and arribada of Olive Ridley Turtles. On the eastern coast of India lies the Bhitarkanika Sanctuary in Orrisa, the biggest hatchery of Olive Ridley Turtles in the world. About 600,000 turtles have been recorded to come here to lay their eggs in the month of March-April every year. This film traces the biodiversity and the pressures on the sanctuary. The film has recorded rare footage of the mass nesting of Olive Ridley Turtles and the hatchlings taking to the sea for the first time.
