CMS VATAVARAN – RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Rules and Regulations and Terms of Entry in this document govern the 14th CMS VATAVARAN - Environment and Wildlife Film Festival. Please read carefully before submitting entries.
- QUALIFYING DATES: Films must have been completed on or after January 1, 2023, and/or carry a release, copyright, or airdate during 2023 to 2026.
- DURATION: Films cannot exceed 60 minutes for all categories.
- JUDGING AND EXHIBITION COPY LANGUAGES: Entries in all languages are accepted. Non-English and Non-Hindi films must include English subtitles or voiceover stitched in the file.
- EXHIBITION FORMAT: All films should be submitted in H.264 HD Format via Pen Drive, Hard Disk, Vimeo, or Google Download Link.
- PRESS KIT: Include High-Resolution Photos (JPEG, TIFF, or EPS) and submit via email or Pen Drive with the completed form and enclosures.
- DELIVERY: Courier payment must be completed before dispatch. CoD not accepted.
- CREDIT: Names must match the Entry Form. Entries may be submitted by producer, co-producer, director, or authorized individual/organization.
- BROADCAST OPPORTUNITY: Shortlisted films may be broadcast on select channels. Payment according to prevailing rates.
- ENTRY FEE: Non-refundable. India: DD/Cheque/Credit Card. International: Bank Transfer/Credit Card via www.cmsvatavaran.org

GENERAL GUIDELINES
- One film per category; multiple films allowed with separate forms and fees.
- Short Film: Up to 30 minutes. Long Film: More than 30 minutes.
- All genres accepted if related to environment, wildlife, climate, water, or conservation.
- Previously submitted or modified films are not eligible.
- CMS is not responsible for loss/damage; filmmakers may insure their entries.
- CMS may reassign films to appropriate categories.
- Films inconsistent with festival ethos may be excluded.
- Festival Screening Committee decides schedule, events, and protocol.
- Exhibition copies remain part of CMS archive; originals not returned.
- Trophies/citations for international winners only handed in person.
- Films must be previewed before submission; technical errors may disqualify.
- Jury decisions are final; awards may be withheld or special awards created.
- CMS may change festival info without prior notice.
- Submission implies acceptance of all CMS VATAVARAN rules and guidelines.
- Festival Directorate decisions are final on all matters.
- Legal disputes are subject to Delhi courts only.
- All CMS VATAVARAN materials are copyright protected.
