Summary: The Garhwal Region of Northern Uttaranchal is breathtaking in its natural splendour. Yet for the Garhwali girl, life is often no more than a sequence of events fraught with difficulty and despair. The film shows the plight of the girl who goes to school and also collects fuel wood from five kilometres away and fetches water by walking three kilometres in the mountainous terrains and hazardous jungles. The film also portrays other social problems faced by these girls.
