Summary: This is a documentary film about Man and Mangrove of Sunderbans. The Sunderban is the world’s largest delta area, where the Ganga & Brahmaputra rivers meet at the Bay of Bengal. In fact, 65% of the total Mangrove forest of India are located in the district of North and South 24 Parganas, which are spread over the 9360 sqr. Kilometers.

Producer’s/Director’s Profile: Director K. G. Das has been closely associated with Group Theatre movement of West Bengal for more than 15 years and participated as Director and actor in about 50 drama performances in Calcutta. Has been the writer of many short stories and dramas in Bengali literature and directed documentary and feature films for Films Division, Goernment of India.
