Summary: Man continuously damages nature knowingly or unknowingly, which causes disorder to the ecological balance. Also he is not aware about the dangers to his own existence, and this is the tragedy.

Producer’s/Director’s Profile: Girish Rao joined Films Division in 1978 as an artist and has 4 films to his credit as Animator and Director The Last Puff, Heart to Heart, The Threads and The Tragedy. The Threads won the National Award for Best Animation Film in 1994 and was selected for Chicago Film Festival 94. The Tragedy won Maharashtra State Award (1996) for Best Documentary and cash prize and also won a trophy from Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Chirapat Mahamandal.
