Subject Focus: Impact of Shifting Generations on the Environment.

Summary: Revolving around a grandfather, his son and grandson, this is a story of the son who is in a hurry to escape to the U.S. He is convinced that he has tied up all the loose ends like securing the future of his family as also taking proper care of his old father. The Grandfather is shocked by the easy translation into money of the ancestral home and completely shattered by the irresponsibility of maximizing gain in turning it over to a plastics factory.

Producer’s/Director’s Profile: G.Meenakshi Sundaram (Producer) is an accomplished professional actror. He is the Protagonist of the National Award Winning Film Oorukku Nooru Per for the year 2001. Besides he has also acted in over 20 popular films, T.V Serials and Stage plays.

B.Sivakumar (Director): He made his debut through a short film Ayesha which won the Second Best Short Film at the 7th Mumbai International Film Festival 2002 and was also screened at the Indian National Panorama 2002. Urumattram, his Second short film has won the Indian National award for the Best Environment / Conservation Film - 2003. It was screened at Vth FICA Environmental Film Festival held at Brazil and is a Special Invitee at SASA Film Festival to be held at Rome.
