Summary: This animated T.V. Spot has been created to increase the awareness of the viewers and sensitize them towards the grave threat being posed by the over-exploitation of our precious underground water reserves. According to latest facts and figures, the underground water level is dropping at an alarming rate throughout our country.
This is resulting in scarcity of potable drinking water and adversely affecting flora and fauna in these areas. If this situation continues unabated we would be facing an imminent environmental disaster and sustenance of life itself would be in question. This urgent problem needs to be addressed not only by the government, but also by the involvement of the masses.

Producer’s/Director’s Profile: Bhargav Roy is an engineer by profession with a background in Television Media of over 13 years during which he has been involved in creation of many T.V. spots, documentaries, montages, plays and public service messages. He was involved in the production of public service messages like Leprosy and AIDS Awareness Programmes, which were joint DD-BBC Trust Production; and was awarded an Appreciation Letter from DD and BBC Trust for his contribution in non-linear editing and special effects.
