Summary: Bhoomi (Earth) is Surabhi Foundation’s response to present-day environmental concerns. This half-hour television series strives to raise environmental consciousness by focusing on the efforts of the people - individuals, community groups, corporate houses, NGOs and the Government - to protect, preserve and enhance the quality of India’s environment. These solutions are then communicated to a national audience via Doordarshan in a unique joint venture between Prasar Bharati, the Ministry of Environment and Forests and Cinema Vision India on behalf of the Surabhi Foundation.

Producer’s/Director’s Profile: Siddharth Kak is a documentary filmmaker, producer, director, presenter, and writer. He is the Executive Trustee of Surabhi Foundation for Research and Cultural Exchange. Cinema Vision India is an independent company producing non-fiction and corporate films and audio-visuals since 1980 and is winner of Three National Awards and several television awards for programming. Worked as an actor in feature films and television series. Worked as a Journalist in 1970. Published Cinema Vision India, India’s first professional cinema quarterly.
