Summary: Sarus Crane is an important resident bird of Gujarat State. The bird is the tallest flying bird and surprisingly has maximum population in industrialized districts like Ahmedabad and Kheda. It is a bird, which is highly adopted in the manmade habitats, especially the numerous rice fields and the ponds created for irrigation. The documentary covers different types of wetlands preferred by this bird. The last portion of this film covers the threats on the existence of this rare and endangered bird, like the disturbance of the nests by the people, the effluents from industries polluting their habitats etc.
