Dr. B.C.Choudhury, Professor, Endangered Species Management Department, Wildlife Institute of India

B.C.Choudhury, a faculty at the Wildlife Institute of India has been in the field of wildlife research and management since 1975 after completion of his master degree in Zoology and a degree in Mass Communication. His special interest in wildlife research and management are Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds and Wetland Ecology. Endangered species and their habitat restoration are the applied subject areas he has been devoted to. He is a member of several IUCN-SSC Specialist Group and recipient of the prestigious Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) award in the year 2005 for his work on Cranes, Crocodiles, Marine and Freshwater turtles. His current interest is to communicate wildlife research findings to the society in a user friendly manner.
