The Nomination Jury reviewed and decided on the CMS VATAVARAN Nominees while the Final Jury would select the winners of the coveted CMS VATAVARAN Award. The 25 members Nomination Jury met from July 11-13, 2007 in New Delhi for selection of nominated films. The Nomination Jury was chaired by Dr. K P Jayasankar, Professor and Chair, Centre for Media and Cultural Studies, TISS, Mumbai. The members from different parts of India represented diverse backgrounds (environment, wildlife and visual media).
